7-foot-7 player has part of foot amputated

Much to my dismay, it sounds like one of my favorite college basketball players won’t be back this season.

North Carolina-Asheville 7-foot-7 center Kenny George was forced to have part of his right foot amputated because of a potentially life-threatening staph infection. Here’s the link to story.

This guy made some just ridiculous plays last year.

There’s some great YouTube videos of this guy. Here’s one. And here’s the infamous Tyler Hansbrough dunk (in which I believe Hansbrough traveled. You gotta make that call for Big George’s sake).

My thoughts are with George. Hopefully, he makes a speedy recovery.
