David Kahn also says the darndest things

Move over Brett Favre and your talk about whether or not you can go too far.

Here comes Minnesota Timberwolves president David Kahn. Kahn has gained a lot of attention on YouTube for an interview he did with NBA TV.

At one point, he tried to make a comparison between Darko Milicic‘s career and Chris Webber‘s. Webber, of course, was part of the announcing team doing the interview, and didn’t quite take to the comparison.

Kahn responded to the criticism he’s received via the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and some of the lines are just hilarious.

Of Michael Beasley:

"He’s a very young and immature kid who smoked too much marijuana and has told me that he’s not smoking anymore," Kahn said, "and I told him that I would trust him as long as that was the case."

Of his interview with Webber:

"He’s kind of a schmuck, isn’t he? Methinks that he spent a lot of time on NBA TV with a former Timberwolves person and he seemed to come into the interview with an agenda. Tough questions are fine, but I felt like he was a little defensive about some of the things."

Methinks? I tell you what. Methinks that Kahn talks funny.

  1. can this guy! he has no idea how to run a NBA team. just embarrasses the franchise daily, as if it didn’t need help in that department

  2. Kahn’s just a big embarassment to what was once a decent franchise. Thinking it is one thing. Opening your big mouth for the whole world to hear is just dumb. Glad to see he was fined $50,000 for his comments. Maybe he’ll learn to shut his mouth; sadly I don’t see it happening.
